The event recap below captures the essence of the 4th Annual Avnet Tech Games, as well as a sample of the sponsor elements. Nearly 200 students representing 57 teams from Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, ITT Technical Institute, the University of Advancing Technology and the Maricopa Community Colleges participated in the 2009 event.

Winners for each of the games were selected based on their ability to meet the technical requirements of the task, innovative approach to the solution and demonstrated professional skills. Congratulations to the 30 winning students, each of whom received a $1,000 scholarship. In addition, 14 students each received a $500 special award and participating faculty shared nearly $16,000 in honorariums.
